About Daphne White

Daphne White is a Certified Healing Touch Practitioner in Kensington, MD and serves on the Advisory Board of Healing Touch International..  She is also a regular contributor to The Integrator Blog.  Before embarking on this third career, Daphne worked as a journalist for 20 years, contributing articles to The Washington Post, Foundation News & Commentary, Hemispheres (the United Airlines magazine) and many others.

Always interested in social change, Daphne delved into a second career as the founder and executive director of a national nonprofit advocacy organization, The Lion & Lamb Project. Lion & Lamb relied on public health research to demonstrate that children learn violent behaviors through play, and that violent, adult-rated entertainment should not be marketed to children.  Daphne testified three times before the U.S. Congress, and appeared on many national radio and television shows.

As she turned 50, DAphne decided to pursue her life-long fascination with energy healing and began to study many different modalities and techniques.  In addition to praciticing Healing Touch, Daphne is now in her third and final year of training in Somatic Experiencing, Peter Levine’s trauma release work.  You can learn more about her work and background by visiting her website, www.daphnewhite.com.
